Emily Sofia

As a graduate from North Harford High School, Emily is a Harford County local and is passionate about helping clients with their family law matters.

Emily graduated cum laude from Bridgewater College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science and a minor in Global Studies. She earned her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating summa cum laude in 2019. She was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2019 and the District of Columbia Bar in 2022. 

During law school, she participated as a Rule 19 student attorney in the University of Baltimore Pretrial Justice Clinic, which allowed her to represent clients in bail review hearings in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Additionally, she was an Associate Managing Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review, a 2018 fellow in the Center for International and Comparative Law, and a law scholar and teaching assistant.

Prior to practicing, Emily served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Audrey J.S. Carrion, Administrative Judge for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Emily is currently a member of the Maryland State, Harford County, Baltimore County, and Women’s Bar Associations.

While she is a trained opera singer and enjoys belting out songs in her car, Emily also loves dressing up her little girl in cute outfits, spending time with her husband, and trying out new restaurants in search of the best gluten-free meals.
