Alexandra “Ally” Comegys

Ally was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. After attending Institute of Notre Dame, she headed South to Charleston, South Carolina where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Spanish. During her time in Charleston, Ally interned at a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal services to low-income residents in Charleston relating to family law and landlord/tenant law matters. This position confirmed her interest to pursue a career in family law.

She reluctantly left the beach and sunshine to return to Maryland to attend law school. While in law school, Ally completed two clinical courses with the Office of the Public Defender. Ally had the opportunity to represent juvenile lifers - individuals serving life in prison for crimes they committed as juveniles - and file Motions for Reduction of Sentence based on the newly effective Juvenile Restoration Act.

After graduating law school and becoming a member of the Maryland bar in 2022, Ally began her clerkship with the Honorable Judge Diane E. Adkins-Tobin at the Harford County Circuit Court. In this position, she was able to observe civil, criminal, and family law cases. Ally joined our office after the completion of her clerkship.

Outside of work, Ally enjoys spending time with her significant other, family, and friends. She enjoys outdoor walks, trying out tasty recipes, traveling to new places, and spending time with her puppy, Jax.
